The Source featured a special on Haiti in their March issue. Included was a two page pictorial on the Hope for Haiti Now benefit which had some pics of George so I’ve added scans to the gallery.
Nicholas D. Kristof has added pics of himself and George during their 2009 visit to Chad. I’ve added the ones of George to the Gallery but please visit Nicholas Facebook to see additional shots from Chad

Thanks to Atalante for posting this find in the CNCU Forum
According to News Reports from WENN, George will be returning to Darfur in the near future.
GEORGE CLOONEY is to follow the sleepless nights he spent organising last week’s (22Jan10) Hope For Haiti Now telethon by heading back to war-torn Darfur. The movie star was the man behind Friday’s star-studded telethon, which has raised over $60 million (£37.5 million) so far for the relief effort in earthquake-ravaged Haiti, and now he’s set to return to Africa for a new mercy mission.
He says, “I’m on my way there… There are a lot of problems going on. The North-South agreement is falling apart.” Clooney first went to Darfur in 2006, when he recorded a documentary about the struggles of Darfur refugees. Upon his return, the Oscar winner spearheaded a campaign to lobby U.S. politicians to do more to help those caught up in the tribal wars.
Clooney told leading politicians, “We can all talk about this and make speeches and say this is horrible and we have to do something. But every day we don’t do something, and every day this goes on, thousands of people are dying and dying horrific deaths.”
Initial figures are in and not only did George Clooney’s Hope For Haiti telethon deliver a dazzling array of top A-List talent from around the world, it also delivered the numbers, raising a staggering $57 million + so far.
The final fundraising amount has yet to be tallied, but the early figures prove that the telethon was a certified smash hit and will be able to provide a significant amount of aid to the impoverished and earthquake ravaged Caribbean nation of Haiti.
The telethon, pulled together in an mind blowing short period of time by George Clooney, broadcast top class performances and celebrity appeals for donations live from Los Angeles, New York and London. It was broadcast to a reported 640 million homes worldwide.
In what must of been a logistical and scheduling nightmare, George managed to rally just about every name worth knowing in the world’s Entertainment Industry to man the phones on the donation lines. With top flight stars like Nicole Kidman, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz, Colin Farrell and Julia Roberts, it was more a case of who wasn’t involved than who was.
Though the show is over, it’s not too late, you can still make your donation to Hope For Haiti, visit their website for details.
In addition, all the live performances from Friday’s show are available for download on the itunes website with a share of the proceeds going to a number of top charities that are active in the Haiti rescue effort.
With amazing and moving performances to chose from by Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Coldplay, Rihanna, Jay-Z and Bono, Mary J. Blige and Jennifer Hudson amongst many others, giving to charity has never sounded so good!
I will be uploading pics as I get them.
George at the Telethon
Here are the other presenters at the telethon behind the jump
On Friday, January 22 at 8 p.m. ET, YouTube will live-stream “Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief,” hosted by George Clooney, Wyclef Jean, and Anderson Cooper to raise funds for earthquake relief.
The global telethon will feature performances by Wyclef Jean, Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Shakira, and Sting in New York City; Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Dave Matthews, John Legend, Justin Timberlake, Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift and a group performance by Keith Urban, Kid Rock, and Sheryl Crow in Los Angeles; and Coldplay, and a group performance by Bono, The Edge, Jay-Z, and Rihanna in a newly added London location.
George Clooney is going to put his money where his mouth is.
On Friday night’s telethon, sources tell me that the star of “Up in the Air” and “The Fantastic Mr. Fox” is planning to open the show by donating $1 million of his own money to Haiti relief.
This is in addition to, and separate from, the $1 million donation his group Not On Our Watch made last week.
Clooney’s rep didn’t return calls, but I’m told the plan is solid. A friend tells me that the actor is doing i to inspire others into action.
And who knows what will happen because of this? Clooney’s Hollywood pals like Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio will be taking calls from donors during the two hour telethon. They may also decide to step up and make big donations. Pitt has already made a large donation with Angelina Jolie to Doctors without Borders.
Other stars who’ve made big donations to Haiti Relief in the last week include Sandra Bullock, who put in $1 million herself, and Madonna, with $250,000. John Travolta offered a plane of supplies and Scientology ministers.
From the Associated Press we have George giving a preview of the ‘Hope for Haiti’ benefit telethon he’s helping to organize to help victims of the earthquake in Haiti. (Jan. 21) Thanks to Nelly for sending this in!
