Lisa Snowdon comes top of the leader’s board
It was double the fun tonight as the remaining Strictly contestants took to the dancefloor twice, dancing one ballroom and one Latin dance. And with four places in the semi-final up for grabs the competition was harder than ever. Cha cha cha-ing her way to the top of the leader’s board was Lisa Snowdon. But after finding herself in the dance off for the last two weeks the radio presenter said she feared she might still be in for the chop. ‘Over this series you have improved beyond recognition,’ Bruno Tonioli reassured her, after being wowed by her foxtrot. ‘You are completely wasted on radio,’ added Craig Revel-Horwood. ‘That was a-maze-ing.’ Arlene Phillips continued the praising: ‘You are like Cinderella. And tonight you have gone to the ball.’ ‘It was a smorgasbord of gorgeousness,’ finished Len Goodman. And with 39 points Lisa ’s first dance certainly set a high standard. She then slipped out of her glamorous gown and into a short fringed frock which showed off her long legs to best effect. Bruce Forsyth was thrilled: ‘Very well done love!’ Revel-Horwood was equally happy, but his eyes were instead on Lisa’s cha cha cha. ‘It seems a little bit of modeling has paid off.’ ‘The best cha cha cha this series, you should be proud,’ added Tonioli. And with a total of 76 points for the two dances Lisa leapt to the top of the leader’s board.
