Actress Angelina Jolie has given birth to twins at a hospital in France.

The Lenval hospital in Nice told a local newspaper that a healthy boy and girl were delivered by Caesarian section on Saturday evening. Nice Matin reported that Jolie and her partner, actor , have named the boy Knox Leon and the girl, Vivienne Marcheline. Dr Michel Sussmann told the Associated Press that Ms Jolie and the babies were “doing marvellously well”.

Dr Sussman, who delivered the twins, said the birth had been moved forward “for medical reasons” but did not give further details. Nice Matin said Pitt was present at the birth.

The couple already have a daughter together - Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, who was born in Namibia in 2006. They have also adopted three more children - Cambodian-born son Maddox, daughter Zahara from Ethiopia and Pax, from Vietnam.

Their newest daughter is named after Jolie’s mother, also an actress, who died of cancer last year. Marcheline Bertrand raised Jolie and her brother, James Haven, from a young age after divorcing their father, actor Jon Voight.

Security at the hospital Lenval has been intense to prevent the paparazzi from taking pictures of the family. The hospital had earlier had to deny that pictures which appeared in were genuine.
Spokeswoman Nadine Bauer said they were “posed fakes”.

E! online has a little more on Brad’s visit to Italy and overnight stay at George’s Villa.

Looks like Brad Pittneeded some time with the bros. He left his sprawling estate in Correns in the south of France and took a private jet into Milan, Italy, early Wednesday evening to catch Radiohead in concert, E! News has confirmed.

And after the concert , he made the hour long car journey to and shacked up for the night at pal George Clooney’s Villa Oleandra pad—along with his Ocean’s costar, fellow former Friend of Jennifer Tate Donovan and Mr. Madge, . The following day, the soon-to-be father of six joined the fellas for lunch before jetting back to expecting Angelina Jolie’s side in France.

No word on what was discussed in Como, but a source says there is a potential collaboration among Ritchie, Pitt and Clooney in the works.

Guess Donovan was there to see the sights.

FROM HOLLYWOOD TO

The charity of Clooney, Pitt, , , and producer Jerry Weintraub does not stop on the movie screen. They also came to the world’s largest film festival to raise money and awareness for refugees in the region of Sudan.

“We’re not politicians. We’re not able to make decisions. We’re not able to do anything except bring attention to something, and that’s the thing we can do,” Clooney said.

“Kids are dying from diarrhoea … that just shouldn’t be in this day and age, and it’s that kind of thing that needs to be changed. Enough is enough,” Pitt added.

The United Nations says some 200,000 people have died and more than 2 million have fled their homes since the conflict in flared in 2003 when rebels took up arms against the government. Four “Ocean’s Thirteen” cast members — Clooney, Pitt, Cheadle and Damon — and Weintraub launched the Not On Our Watch Foundation to raise money and draw attention to the refugees. Earlier this week, they raised $10 million at a Cannes party, and in June they head to Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Chicago for similar charity events

Clooney took issue with anyone doubting his motives.

“At what point does anyone think anyone of us needs more publicity?” Clooney said. “I’m not going to defend what I think is doing the right thing … we are doing it because we all think we would be criminal if we didn’t take it a step further.”

’Thirteen’ the charm for Clooney and pals

CANNES, France - The dashing, debonair cast of “Ocean’s Thirteen” came to the Riviera for the world premiere of their starry heist sequel but were coy about whether “Thirteen” is the final chapter in the series. The glam guys, headed by George Clooney, , and , seemed divided about diving in for a fourth “Ocean’s.” When asked whether there might be an “Ocean’s 58” or an “Ocean’s 69,” Clooney replied: “That would be a whole different ‘Ocean’s.’ ” Director Steve Soderbergh shook his head and added, “Never again.”

But Damon, who this summer bids farewell not just to Linus, the “Ocean’s” burglar, but amnesiac Jason Bourne as well, kept his options open, saying he was “more sad” that he might not get to do another flick with the “Ocean’s” posse. “The Bourne thing I’m definitely done with,” he added. “We’ve ridden that horse as much as we can. Outside of feeling like a prostitute for putting out two No. 3s in one year . . .” “Better than three No. 2s,” Clooney instantly noted to laughter. Damon agreed. But does his vow to not be Bourne again mean that Jason dies? “I’m not going to say. I could just not do them anymore,” Damon said, adding that “the character lives on in the books,” so another actor could be born as Bourne.

Although the cast spent most of the press conference joking around, the actors did inject a note of seriousness into the proceedings. Two nights before their premiere, Clooney and friends raised $9.2 million for relief efforts with a charity fund-raiser on a yacht at nearby Cap D’Antibes. “We knew we were coming here and it’s a great international platform and chance to raise money and raise awareness, specifically about ,” Clooney said. “Don, Brad, Matt and I have all been in that region in the last year and it’s a been a concern of (ours) for the last few years. We find there is a lot more attention in the United States than internationally on this issue.” Added Damon: “We felt we’d be remiss if we didnt try to direct some of those resources to this life-and-death struggle.”

As for “Ocean’s,” the stars showed they still had a few tricks up their sleeves. In the third installment of the series, the two smoothies, Clooney and Pitt, go soft and teary-eyed watching an Oprah Winfrey show. The scene and its tough-guy sentimentality brought applause from the Cannes press.

Ocean’s Thirteen: Brad Pitt shares his thoughts

Of course, Brad’s back this summer with his pals GEORGE CLOONEY, and the rest of the mischievous ‘Ocean’s’ crew for the franchise’s sequel, in theaters June 8.

“[It's] not any worse than the others,” he quips, jesting that after he feeds himself breakfast, they feed him his lines so he doesn’t have to read the script.

“I get my coffee, I get my bagel, I say my lines; [I have an] earwig for lines, and [in my other ear] I have an earwig for motivation,” he says. “So [the left] one’s telling me what I’m saying, and in my right ear, which is the left side of my brain, I hear the undercurrent of the scene — my motivation. Sometimes they conflict, but I find it to be quite successful.”

In the new movie, Danny Ocean’s (Clooney) mentor, Reuben Tishkoff (ELLIOTT GOULD), is double-crossed by ruthless casino owner Willy Bank (AL PACINO). The slight puts Reuben in a hospital bed in critical condition, and prompts Danny and the boys to seek revenge. With the help of the rest of the original crew — BERNIE MAC, , CASEY AFFLECK, SCOTT CAAN, EDDIE JEMISON, SHAOBO QIN and CARL REINER — they plot to foil the opening of Willy’s new casino and destroy his reputation as a Five Diamond hotelier.

Perhaps for the Herculean task alone of arranging each and every actor’s schedule to get them back for the sequels, the ‘Ocean’s’ movies have become like a semi-annual vacation/reunion for the cast and crew — including director STEVEN SODERBERGH and producer JERRY WEINTRAUB — whose joy for working together is clearly evident onscreen.

“The ‘Ocean’s’ club is a place of myth and great debauchery,” Brad says with a wry smile. “I can say no more. I am sworn to secrecy. I am a cardmember. A cardmember for life, apparently. About the details, I can’t give you that.”

So, what details can he give? Like, how many ‘Ocean’s’ movies are these guys willing to make?

“What’s the record?” asks Brad. “It’s probably one of the ‘Halloween’ movies or Freddy Krueger movies. Bond? I think we can beat it. ‘Rocky,’ shmocky — kid stuff. We can beat that.” [Source]

In Newsweeks Oscar Roundtable held at The Egyptian Theatre explained what acting meant to him.

PITT: Acting is really a team sport. A lot of times one actor will become the MVP, but just like in tennis, your game is elevated if you’re playing with someone better. I mean, just look at the way Cate compensated for George Clooney in “The Good German.” [Laughter]

Note: This is probably one of the best interviews/discussions I’ve read in a long time I highly recommend that you go to the source and read the complete artilcle. was joined by five other actors: Cate Blanchett, Forest Whitaker, Helen Mirren, Penelope Cruz and Leonardo DiCaprio. It is long but definitely worth it.
