Up in the Air: Vera Farmiga — George is the “ultimate gentleman”
In an interview with Sfgate Vera Farmiga talks about her experience on the “Up in the Air” set with George.
They may decide she’s finally arrived with the release of “Up in the Air,” a romantic comedy co-starring George Clooney and directed by Jason Reitman, who made “Juno.”
Farmiga started the shoot just two weeks after having her baby. After reading the script, she couldn’t say no. Clooney plays a career-transition counselor whose life goal is to collect a million frequent-flier miles. Farmiga is a like-minded businesswoman who embarks on a relationship with him in airports around the world.
‘Fun and odd’The experience was “incredibly fun and odd,” she said. “I had all these post-birth hormones. It remains to be seen when I see the film if that might manifest itself in my performance.
“George is so funny. He kept me chuckling. He is the ultimate gentleman. I kept waiting to see some kind of crack in the facade. But, no, not him.”
