New York: Hollywood star, George Clooney is willing to act in a desi movie. Clooney, labeled the Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine this year, says he’s a fan of Bollywood. His latest film, The Good German, will release in the US on December 15, and is set for an India release in April 2007. CNN-IBN correspondent Indira Kannan met George Clooney in New York for this interview. Indira Kannan: George Clooney are you familiar with Indian cinema? George Clooney: With Bollywood? Yes. Sure. I was watching a film the other day and the music was just amazing. It’s become such a huge industry. There is a small market in the States as of now, but it will be fun if it catches on because it is such a positive way of looking at filmmaking and I really love that. I truly think it’s fun. Indira Kannan: Do you foresee any opportunities to be involved with it? George Clooney: I’d love to. There are some filmmakers whose films when you see you say ‘That could be interesting story to tell’. It seems like the Indian filmmakers are pushing boundaries in terms of pushing the censors. I think it’s (Bollywood) an interesting place for filmmakers to go. Indira Kannan: You will be very welcome in India because audiences there are well aware that you are officially the sexiest man alive. George Clooney: I tried to tell everyone and I am sure they are thrilled. Indira Kannan: Thank you for joining us on CNN-IBN. George Clooney: Thank you so much.
